Have you come across a situation where people using words to imitate laughing when commenting on others post whether in blogs, social networks etc? Make it worst, the subject is heavy and serious.

I admit that communicating on the web doesn't give the exact facial expression as we used to get while communicating in real world.

What I'm thinking is, those who use words to imitate laughing seems to take others' problem lightly.

Again this is because of the lack of face to face interaction when using online media. Maybe they didn't really feels like laughing at all. Who knows. But better if we can try not to 'laugh' while commenting on a serious topics.

I hope that each of us can please think first if we want to type 'haha' etc depends on the situation. If the person we're 'laughing' at doesn't take it seriously, it's OK. But what if he/she take it seriously? and make it worst we didn't even know it.

The way we died reflected from the way we live

While I was reading a news about a car crashing into a shopping mall in Kelantan and killed 2 people and injuring 2 people, I somehow got an uneasy feelings. Probably because the way they died. From my previous reading until this recent age, I have a mind set that the way someone died is reflected from the way they live their life. And after some reading this morning, I came to a conclusion that 'the way someone died' should be when they're at their last breath and not how we see it on news because the real story might be different.

People might thought wrongly about the dead person from the way they died, but we should try not to speculate unless we really ask someone that close to the dead person. To think positively is the best way.

The moral of the story is be a good person while we still breathing the air and living the life Allah created for us.

Neue Helvetica Arabic

This is awesome. Some years before, I was already in love with this type of typography for arabic. I'm not sure what the name of the type. It's a khat that used for many years before digital era where this new arabic typography was born. This is something new to me as I only knew that there's no new Arabic typography until I found this.

Nadine Chahine is a type designer for Linotype GmbH, where she is also Branding & CI Manager, and Arabic Specialist. She designed Frutiger Arabic with Adrian Frutiger and Palatino Arabic with Hermann Zapf, for which she won the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design from the TDC. On the early October, I just bought several rolls of film Consist of 4 Fuji Reala 100, 2 Ilford FP4 Plus, 2 Ilford HP5 Plus, 2 Ilford Delta 400 and 1 Fuji Velvia 50.

Until now, I only have tried Fuji Reala 100, Ilford FP4 Plus and Ilford HP5 Plus (still in my Nikon FE2). Below is the photos I shot on Ilford FP4 Plus. Here I use Nikon F80 as the camera body and lens, Nikkor 70-300 f4-5.6G.

It has been a while since my last update about 3 months ago. There was lots of things that changed especially in my interest.

First of all in photography. I finally have a chance to own a SLR camera, but this one is a manual focus SLR, the Nikon FE2 bought on August 09. The body was occupied by Zoom Nikkor 35-70 f3.3-4.5 and Nikon Series E 50mm f1.8.

Few weeks later I bought another camera, an Olympus Trip 35. Fixed lens zone focusing manual camera. No batteries needed to operate this camera because it use solar power.

The third camera is a Nikon L35AF. It use zone focusing as in the Olympus Trip 35 but with autofocus.

And the latest in the family is Nikon F80 autofocus film camera. I forgot to tell you that all the camera is film camera not digital. Bundled with the Nikon F80 is Nikon 28-80 f3.5-5.6D and Nikon 70-300 f4-5.6G

Destined between D60 and D90, this new model placed as a mid-range slr from Nikon. The price for D5000 is closed to the pricing for D90. So there will be arguments whether to get this new D5000 or just skip this one for D90.

The 1st in Malaysia, Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was held in Putrajaya near Monumen Alaf Baru from 19th to 22nd March 2009. At late evening, when more hot air balloons was on air, the crowd was also huge, not to mention traffic jams. Hopefully this event will be held again next year.

On 12th January, Ferrari launched their new Formula One car named F60 for Ferrari's 60th year in the Formula One sport. The design is very odd as the rules for 2009 said so, the shorter and taller rear wing, wider and lower front wing, slick tyres, sidepod mounted side mirror and other changes that you can notes if you look in more details.

Ferrari is also the first team to unveil their car for 2009 Formula One season.

“I am excited but also happy to take it onto the track for the first time. With all the new legislation I was expecting a different car, like 10 years ago with the huge spoilers, but I was surprised. I found the new F60 to be nice and small like an F3 car and nice-looking,” said Filipe Massa, Ferrari’s Brazilian driver.

This bike is from 2007 MotoGP Championship and the rider is Valentino Rossi with his famous "46" number.

At last, my first Apple product. But now I'm thinking of iPhone. Because with this iPod touch in my pocket, I feel like abandoning my Nokia 3100. And because iPod Touch is an iPhone without camera, 3G, and phone functionality.. It is known that the 2nd generation iPod Touch is the fastest among all generations of iPod Touch and iPhone. So, I'll wait for the next iPhone update.

I bought this from my sister in NZ for NZ$659. If converted to Malaysia, it is RM200++ cheaper than in Malaysia.

Overall, the quality if 1st class, fast and 1 thing I don't like is the need of iTunes account for downloading apps and music even for the free one.

BMW testing 2009 aero

While other teams are testing their KERS systems, BMW is the only team to test their aerodynamics package on their car, named F1.08B. The testing took place at Catalunya circuit in Barcelona, Spain for three days starting today.

Only one word can describe the new 2009 aero package for F1 cars: UGLY. The F1 cars will now looks much more like an A1GP car. I wonder how will Mclaren's, Ferrari's and other teams design for upcoming season. Can't wait to see it.

As on the rules of 2009 for aero-package on F1 cars, the aerodynamics were now totally different from the 2008 spec. The test were taken at Gloucestershire’s Kemble airfield and ran by by Formula 3 driver, Jonathan Kennard.

The new regulations saw a wider and lower front wing, while the rear wing is taller and narrower.

Hamilton is only one step away from the drivers' F1 title as he easily win the Chinese GP last Sunday. While Massa is only 7 points behind Hamilton, 2 more points than after Japanese GP. For the season finale, Hamilton have to finish in 5th place and above to become the youngest ever F1 Champion after Alonso. For the constructors', McLaren can still grab the title if they can get more than 11 points and Ferrari didn't get any points in the race. So, we'll wait and what will happen on the 2nd of November.

Today, Apple announced some refreshments to their Macbook lineup. Starting from Macbook Air to Macbook Pro 15inch. Also new 24" LED Cinema Display. In full, the upgrades include:

Macbook Air

The new Macbook Air features the Nvidia GeForce 9400M GPU and the Mini Display Port which supports DVI, dual-link DVI, and VGA video output. The port will be able to connect to external display up to 30 inch. The new Air also got faster CPU, faster memory and bigger storage. However there were no changes on the design of the Air.

Macbook

While the original plastic model is still available at $999, two new models were added to the Macbook lineup. Priced at $1299 and $1599

Both new model feature the unibody aluminium construction process as the Macbook Pro. The graphic processing is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M display subsystem with 256 MB of shared video RAM which is 5 times better than the Intel integrated graphics. Also new is the buttonless multitouch glass touchpad that can handle four fingers gestures.

Other features such as built-in iSight, 8x Superdrive and 2GB DDR3 SDRAM. All the ports is on left side of the laptop includes MagSafe, ethernet, 2x USB, Mini DisplayPort, audio in, audio out and Kensington lock. At the right end of the left part of the Macbook is the battery indicator lights.

Also new is the removable battery and user serviceable hard-disk bay.. see picture below for a better view.

2nd Consecutive win by Alonso - Japanese GP

After his win at the first ever Singaporean night race, Alonso once again won at the Japan GP in a row. Last time he won in Japan was in year 2006. While the top 2 drivers in the drivers' championship, Massa and Hamilton did some error or others would say they can't cool down enought in hunt for points. As Alonso crossed the finish line, Kubica followed in 2nd place and Raikkonen 3rd. Massa however did managed to get 2 points from the previously 1 point after he finished 8th and promoted to 7th after Sebastian Bourdais got 25 seconds penalty for colliding with Massa at the pit exit.

Hamilton still leads the drivers' championship by just 5 points over Massa and 12 points over Kubica and Raikkonen was officially out of title contention. Bad luck for McLaren as they didn't score any points here and the contructors' championship leader is Ferrari with 7 points ahead of McLaren and 14 points ahead of BMW Sauber. Leica just announced today their replacement for D-Lux 3 and C-Lux 2, the new D-Lux 4 and C-Lux 3. D-Lux 4 features a 1/1.63" CCD image sensor, 3.0inch 460,000 dot LCD monitor and a 24 to 70mm lens f2.0 lens. While C-Lux 3 has smaller 1/2.33” CCD sensor, 2.5inch 230,000 dots LCD monitor and zoom range of 24 to 125mm. Both have 50MB internal memory, SD/SDHC expandable memory storage and HD video recording.

Apple iPod

Just visited the Mac City, reseller of the Apple products. I'm looking for iPod classic and the update is here in Malaysia just a few days after the launched.

iPod classic now available in only one configuration: 120GB storage with the pricetag of RM999. While the new generation iPod nano with 8GB cost you RM599 and 16GB model for RM799. The 16GB model were not in stok yet. Other interesting model is the iPod touch especially the 8GB model which priced slightly lower than the 120GB iPod classic for RM949. But 8GB memory space is too little for this time. The iPod touch also available in 16GB model (RM1229) and 32GB model (RM1629). The least interesting model is the iPod shuffle with no LCD screen, available in two memory space: 1GB and 2GB. Each priced for RM189 and RM259.

For me, the best buy for these music, video, and sometimes games player is the iPod classic. For sure I'm not gonna buy the iPod shuffle for it's small memory. For iPod touch, it's too pricey for a not so big memory. Lastly the iPod nano, quite a good buy if you don't want an iPod classic and if you want a smaller size.

Vettel won Italian GP, writes history

Vettel writes a new history in the Formula 1 as he being the youngest ever driver to won a Grand Prix. He is the 101th winner in Formula One races. He leads the race from the beginning until the end mostly from Heikki Kovalainen on the second place. Webber, Bourdais, and Rosberg who started in the top rows were not perform well and finished without points except for Webber who'd took the final points from Hamilton. Raikkonen were just behind him but far away to pass for the 8th position.

Kubica started from 11th place behind his teammate Heidfeld, but with great drive, he finished third on podium for BMW Sauber, followed by Alonso, Heidfeld, Massa, Hamilton and Webber.

Raikkonen started from 15th place and finished 9th but he did a good lap time by taking the fastest lap of the race repeatedly from other drivers until the final lap with 1 min 28.047 seconds. Impressive but wasted for not being finished in points.

Until Italian GP, Hamilton leads from Massa in drivers' championship points by just 1 point. Kubica is third with 64 points.

Micro FourThird standard eliminate the use of the mirror for framing through the viewfinder. This is replaced by the electronic viewfinder.

The launched of the Lumix DMC-G1, the first Micro FourThird camera on 12th Sept will demonstrate the new standard to the world for the first time. Offered in three colours: blue, red and black, the Lumix G1 is smaller than its' brother, the Lumix L10. The lens only smaller compared to the conventional SLR lens. Leica D-Lux 4 in French magazine

The replacement model for the aging Leica D-Lux 3 just leaked in a French magazine, Chasseur d'Images (number 307 page 12). The model is equivalent to the amazing Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. The only difference is the design of the body and the branding in which as a Leica, it's quite known and expensive than Panasonic.

New photos using my new Lumix LX3

Some of the new photos uploaded to my flickr page. The two photos of the Lumix LX3 was shot using Nikon Coolpix 5000 aka my old camera.

I just bought the Lumix LX3 on last Friday for 1600 ringgit Malaysia plus 4GB memory, camera case and LCD protector. I'm still in negotiation for the price of the leather case specially designed for LX3 and a second battery for the camera. Estimated cost 300ringgit.

Hope I can get lower price.

3 Penyakit Hati penggugat amalan baik

Kandungan dari petikan Berita Harian "Mengenali sifat seorang penghuni syurga", oleh Ibrahim Abdullah.

Menurut Rasulullah SAW, terdapat tiga penyakit yang akan menghancurkan amalan baik seseorang iaitu:

1. Takbur atau sombong.

Imam al-Ghazali dalam kitab 'Ihya Ulumuddin' berkata, takbur akan menjadi batas pemisah antara seseorang dengan kemuliaan akhlak. Orang takbur akan selalu mendustakan kebenaran, menganggap rendah orang lain dan meninggikan dirinya.

Sedikit saja di hati ada sikap takbur, maka syurga akan menjauh, amalan tidak mempunyai erti. Rasulullah SAW bersabda yang bermaksud: “Tidak akan masuk syurga seseorang yang dalam hatinya ada sikap takbur walaupun sebesar debu.” (Hadis riwayat Muslim)

2. Hasad atau iri hati (dengki).

Ciri khas seorang pendengki adalah adanya rasa tidak rela melihat orang lain mendapat nikmat dan sangat berharap nikmat itu segera lenyap daripadanya. Ia susah melihat orang lain senang dan senang melihat orang lain susah.

Dengki sangat berkesan menghancurkan kebaikan. Rasulullah SAW bersabda yang bermaksud: “Dengki itu dapat memakan kebaikan sebagaimana api memakan kayu bakar.” (Hadis riwayat Abu Daud dan Ibnu Majah)

3. Riak atau beramal kerana mengharap pujian orang lain.

Riak adalah tingkatan terendah daripada amalan. Rasulullah SAW menyebutnya syirik kecil yang juga boleh menghapuskan kebaikan. Allah tidak akan menerima suatu amalan yang dalamnya ada seberat debu saja perasaan riak.

Hadis qudsi mengungkapkan bagaimana murkanya Allah kepada orang yang riak dalam amalannya. Pada hari kiamat Allah berfirman, ketika semua manusia melihat catatan amalannya, “Pergilah kamu semua kepada apa yang kamu jadikan harapan (riak) di dunia. Lihatlah apakah kamu semua memperoleh balasan daripada mereka.” (Hadis riwayat Ahmad dan Baihaqi)

Firman Allah yang bermaksud: “Maka kecelakaanlah bagi orang yang solat (iaitu) orang yang lalai dari solatnya dan orang berbuat riak.” (Surah al-Maa'um, ayat 4 - 6)

Selain dari kita membersihkan anggota fizikal kita dari kekotoran dengan mandi dan memakai pakaian yang bersih lagi harum, jangan dilupa pada kebersihan hati nurani kita. Hati yang bersih penting agar kita dapat beribadah dengan baik dan jauh dari murka Allah SWT serta amalan kita itu dapat diterima oleh Allah.

Justeru, amalan seseorang menggambarkan kebersihan hati nurani kerana sifat ujub, takbur, dengki dan rasa dendam menyebabkan halangan serta gangguan untuk seseorang itu menjadi penghuni syurga.

As expected from the widely spread rumours on the internet, Steve Jobs today unveiled the new iPod nano in the Let's Rock event. Also announced the 120GB only iPod classic, iPod Touch 2.1, iPhone 2.1 firmware, some accessories, iTunes 8 and games for iPod Touch and iPhone.

The new taller iPod nano come with 8GB and 16GB capacity, accelerometer, shake to shuffle, Genius playlist, new better headphones and voice recordable if any mic detected on the iPod nano. It's also environmental friendly and come with 8 colours (silver, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red and pink).

Sony just launched it's awaited flagship d-slr, the full-frame Alpha A900. We've seen the spyshots and teaser's on the net. But now it's official. Below are the main features of the camera:

New Nikon D90

On 27th August, about two weeks past, Nikon officially launched the new Nikon D90 with the most excited feature, the movie recording in high definition. This has put the SLR experience to another level. Now photographer can record creative videos with different angle based on the lens they use. Focusing were done manually and lots more features that will make you fall in love with this camera. For more info you can go to the official site of Nikon D90.

The spec as below:

12.3 effective Megapixel CMOS sensor
Supports all Nikkor F-mount lenses, with a 1.5X focal length conversion ratio
3-inch LCD display with 920,000 pixels

Massa won Belgian Grand Prix

Last weekend's race at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium has won by Massa despite finishing 2nd on grid as the results of drive thru penalty given to the on-track winner Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton got the penalty after he skipped a chicane during the battle with Kimi Raikkonen. Kimi Raikkonen however didn't finish the race after he hit the wall on the last 2 laps to the finish. Heidfeld on the other hand, goes from zero to hero with 2nd on the podium after Hamilton was penalised. This is resulted from the intermediate tire change at the end of lap 3.

The battle for the drivers' championship were now focused on Hamilton and Massa with 5 races more to go until the season ends.

Sorry to all readers,

Now it's nearly two months from the last post and I still not posting any new posts. I've just graduated and now working with an IT company in Kota Damansara, Selangor in Malaysia. So the time is very tight for me, but I'll try to always update this blog just like before especially the news on Formula1. Thanks all readers :)
