Apple 'Pray' to 'Evil/Genius'

This two cover of Wired magazine featuring Apple's logo, one with 'pray' caption and another one with 'evil/genius' caption. One with the 'pray' caption was published in June 1997 and another one will be published next month. The 1997 version depicting the decision Steve Jobs need to do for the company's problem, while the 2008 version seems to be different at all. Nowadays, Apple is one innovative company that create innovative products that's easy to use.

World's Thinnest 8megapixel camera module for cellphone

Samsung just announced their new 8.5mm thick cmos camera module for cellphone. This module also features an anti-shake, 1mm macro and face tracking technology and also "photography Smiles" and the "eyes flicker recognition features". While the sensitivity level is high at ISO1600.

Design is Confident: Playing with typefaces

Playing with typefaces is very enjoyable. But it's not as easy as you thing to use typefaces to a good level. By good level means that it is usable and easy to the eyes of the user or any person that use or see the product.

Below is my experiments using typefaces. I just can't sit and looking at others artwork like the one from Zakirah and Hilmi. So I did my own. It took about 5 hours. I'm not sure is it ok or not. Do comments so that I can improve.

in 1024x768 pixels

in 1280x800 pixels

the original design

using different typeface for the TC word

trying to use it with a background picture

this is how it looks like when printed

and this one too, on the wall

While the images with the big 'tc' word are my timetable for the lectures. I've done this in January and I'm just trying a new layout of designing a timetable.

So, the TC word there is actually the code of my program in university. Every line is for a day, so line one after the TC word is for Monday, second line for Tuesday and so on. In the version where I use a background image, you can see that I've colored some of the words which is the day of the week. ISN is the acronym for Isnin (in Malay) means Monday, SEL for Selasa means Tuesday, RAB for Rabu (Wednesday), KHA for Khamis (Thursday) and JUM for Jumaat (Friday).

The arrangements of the content is [subject/topic].[time start].[location]. The result for example on line 1: EDG.8.DK. EDG is the subject of lecture, 8 is the time it start and DK is the location of the lecture. Between the contents, it didn't have any space.

Barrichello disqualified, Nakajima down ten places

Rubens Barrichello of Honda Racing was disqualified from six place of the chaotic Australian GP after he ran the red lights at the pitlane exit.

Barrichello's infraction occurred after he served a pit lane penalty for illegally pitting for fuel in safety car conditions, and he also knocked over a couple of his pit members when he pulled away before the fuel hose was removed.
This resulted Kimi Raikkonen getting the last point and Nakajima goes to sixth place and Bourdais to seventh place. It is strange that both Bourdais and Raikkonen did get the points while they didn't even cross the finish line.

On the other hands, Nakajima who finished sixth at Australian GP will be ten places down on next week's Malaysian GP grid. This is resulted from the incident in the end of third safety car period where Nakajima crashed into the rear BMW of Kubica and forcing the Pole to retire.

News On Hamilton

One day, Hamilton might be racing a Ferrari

"I can't give a straightforward answer, yes or no."

That's the answer from Ferrari Team Principal Stefano Domenicali when asked if there'll be any possibilities of Hamilton racing a Ferrari some day.

"I think he learnt a lot last year, and this year will be very important for him," Domenicali added.

"If he's able to manage his talent and to grow as a person and as a driver, well, Ferrari is always looking at the fastest drivers."

Hakkinen on Hamilton

"He was sensational in his debut and is even stronger now. His toughest opponent will be Kimi,"

"When you are champion, you discover new strengths. Those two are the best."

Former champion, Mika Hakkinen suggest that Hamilton could win 2008 F1 title from reigning champion, his countryman Kimi Raikkonen.

An Integrated Laptop Stand

This simple resolution for the heat issues for laptop was designed by Young Hwan Kim. With this design, the heat will now be able to dissipate better to the air naturally.

Coffea of Love

This cup was designed by Sunman Kwon with a love shaped inner part of the cup towards the bottom. This will give the message of love to someone that use the cup. But I'm not sure why it is named as Coffea of Love? I'm sure that you can still use this cup for tea or others. But maybe because coffea is the beverage that will give you a boost and with this cup, it will double the boost and you'll have lots of concertration.

Kovalainen will be Hamilton's threat

Former champion Alain Prost have said that Heikki Kovalainen would be Hamilton's threat for the world championship title this season.

"Hamilton must not be complacent as Kovalainen will certainly be a very tough cookie," told the Frenchman to Italy's Autosprint magazine last month.

"Where the championship is concerned, the Finn looks definitely dangerous," he added and also agree that there will be more pressure on Hamilton this season.

"I have no doubt in my mind that Heikki's going to be one of the quickest guys there," he is quoted as saying by the news agency Reuters.
